Weekly lesson slots and changing a student's slot

Each student can have one regular weekly slot: a day, a time and a length. LessonPaid creates their weekly lessons from it automatically, and the Lessons page shows the next two weeks. Choose "No regular slot" for students without a fixed time, and add their lessons one by one.

To change a slot for good, open the student on Students, change Weekly lesson day, Time or Minutes, and click "Save changes". Their upcoming weekly lessons move to the new slot in the same week (Monday to Sunday), and any cancellations, attendance, notes and files go with them. Extra and makeup lessons stay where they are.

If something needs a look, the student's page shows "Please check a few lessons": for example a lesson that stayed at its old time because the new time had already passed that week, or because there's already a lesson at that time. Open it and cancel it if it isn't happening, then click "Got it".

Lessons already on an invoice still move, but the invoice doesn't change: it still shows the old day and time and the same amount. If the new length should cost more or less, settle the difference with the family.

Choosing "No regular slot" takes upcoming weekly lessons off the calendar (ones with attendance, notes or files are kept, as cancelled).

To move just one lesson, cancel it and add an extra lesson (see "Cancelling, rescheduling and makeup lessons"). Every-other-week schedules and two regular slots per student aren't built in yet.
