Lesson notes, practice assignments and files

Open any lesson (click it on the Lessons page or in a student's Lesson history). Under Lesson notes there are four parts: Notes for the family, Practice for this week, Private notes (only your studio team sees these) and Progress this lesson (a private 1 to 5 rating). Paste a YouTube or website link and it becomes clickable.

Click "Save notes", or "Email notes to family" to save and send the family notes and practice to the parent email, with your branding. Private notes and the rating are never emailed or shown to families. If the family portal is on, families see the notes and practice there as soon as you save.

Files: on a lesson or a student's page, choose a file and click "Upload". PDFs, images (PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF) and audio (MP3, M4A, WAV), up to 4 MB each; for videos, share a YouTube link instead. Tick "Share with the family" to show a file in the family portal; everything else stays private. Each file has "Share with family" / "Make private", "Download" and "Delete".

Storage is 500 MB per studio on a paid plan, 25 MB during the free trial. During the trial, notes can be emailed for 25 lessons a day.

Tutors can write notes and add files for their own students.
