Sending monthly invoices (Bill a month)

Go to Invoices. "Bill a month" shows every unbilled lesson in the month you pick (use the arrows to change month), grouped by student, including lessons still to come. Cancelled lessons are left out. Check the list and click "Email N invoices to parents".

Each student gets one invoice listing every lesson with its date, time, length and price, and the total. Parents get it by email from your studio name plus "via LessonPaid" (for example "Harmony Piano Studio via LessonPaid"), and replies go to your email. The due date comes from "Invoices due after" in Settings (7 days unless you change it).

Bill in advance or afterwards: you can bill any month up to 12 months ahead, or a past month. Billing at the start of the month charges for the lessons scheduled in it; cancel a lesson before you bill and it isn't charged.

Lessons added later (a makeup, a new student) can be billed by running "Bill a month" again: only lessons not already on an invoice are included, on a new invoice.

It's one click a month, when you choose, or turn on auto-send and it goes out by itself (see "Auto-send: invoices that go out by themselves"). Students on monthly tuition get one tuition invoice for the month (see "Monthly tuition: the same amount every month"). Students with no parent email are listed as "Not billed" until you add one. If a student has two lessons in the same week from an old slot change, a "Check before you send" warning links to their page.

A recital fee or a discount on it? Click "Add a line" under the student before you send (see "Charges, discounts and Charge every family"). A student's recurring discount and any charges waiting for their next invoice are listed under them, already in the total.

During the free trial you can email 25 invoices a day; the rest wait until the next day, or until you subscribe. Add how parents pay you in Settings first, so it shows on every invoice.
