Auto-send: invoices that go out by themselves

Turn it on in Settings › Tuition & auto-send: tick "Send invoices automatically each month", pick "On day" (the 1st to the 28th of each month) and what "It bills": "That month (in advance)", "The month after", or "The month before (in arrears)". Click "Save". It's off until you do, and it starts with the first send day more than 2 days away, so the heads-up email always comes first. Changing the day or what it bills starts again the same way: if that leaves a month that nothing sends, Settings › Tuition & auto-send and the Invoices page name it, to bill with "Bill a month".

On the day, at LessonPaid's daily run, LessonPaid bills the month just like "Bill a month". The run is once a day, so the time depends on where you are: the morning for US studios, the afternoon in the UK, the evening in Dubai, the early hours in Australia (Settings › Tuition & auto-send shows yours).

Billing the month works just like "Bill a month": tuition students get their monthly tuition, per-lesson students the month's lessons, and every family gets their invoice by email. Lessons already on an invoice are skipped, and each student's month is billed once however many times it runs, so nothing is billed twice. Archived students, students who have left (after their last day) and students with no parent email aren't billed: they're listed as "Not billed" (to bill an archived student's last lessons, use "Bill a month").

Two days before, you get a heads-up email, for example "14 invoices go out Wednesday, November 1 ($2,240.00)", listing anyone billed differently that month and anyone not billed, with a button to review them. The Invoices page shows "Next auto-send: Nov 1, 14 invoices, $2,240.00 expected" and how the last one went.

To hold a month, tick "Pause auto-send" in Settings › Tuition & auto-send, or click "Pause" on the Invoices page ("Resume" carries on). While it's paused nothing goes out and there's no heads-up, and a send day that passes while it's paused isn't sent later: use "Bill a month" for that month.

You can still bill by hand any time; auto-send then only sends what's left. During the free trial, 25 invoices go out a day and the rest follow over the next days. Due dates, late fees, overdue follow-ups, Resend and Void work as usual. An invoice whose email was refused is tried again the next day. One the email service didn't confirm (it may have gone out) is never sent again by itself: it shows "Not emailed" with a Send button, as does one still not sent after a few days.
