Overdue payment follow-ups
When an invoice passes its due date and is still unpaid, LessonPaid emails the parent for you: up to 3 reminders, 3 days apart, starting the day after the due date. They get firmer each time ("Friendly reminder", "Payment reminder", then "Final reminder"), and each includes the amount, the due date and a link to the invoice.
Turn them on or off in Settings › Automatic reminders › "Overdue payment follow-ups" (on by default).
They stop as soon as the invoice is marked paid, or when the parent clicks "I've already paid" (choose "Not received" on the invoice to turn them back on). They're never sent for an invoice whose first email didn't go out (Not emailed), or for a student without a parent email.
On a partly paid invoice they're about the remaining balance: the amount is what's left, and the wording says "remaining balance" (see "Recording payments and part payments").
Change the wording in Settings › Branding & emails › Overdue reminder. The Invoices page shows how many reminders each invoice has had. Want a late fee too? See "Late fees".
Names like Settings › Team are menus inside LessonPaid, once you're signed in. Already have an account? Log in. Still stuck? Email hello@lessonpaid.com.
