Lesson reminder emails
Parents get an email the day before each lesson, with the student's name, the day and time, and the lesson length. Turn it on or off in Settings › Automatic reminders › "Lesson reminders" (on by default).
No reminder goes out for a cancelled lesson, a lesson already marked Absent, Late cancel or No-show, an archived student, or a student with no parent email. Makeup and extra lessons get reminders too.
The "Cancel by" line: when families can cancel online (the family portal is on and Settings › Family portal lets them), each reminder says until when, for example "Can't make it? Cancel by 4:30 PM today in your family portal, or just reply to this email." The time is your notice period before the lesson, in your studio's time zone. It takes the place of the "Just reply to this email" sentence (if you rewrote the reminder, it goes under your message). It's left out when online cancelling is off, when the lesson is already marked, and when less than an hour is left to cancel, so families are never told to cancel when they can't. Settings › Branding & emails shows it in the preview.
Change the wording in Settings › Branding & emails › Lesson reminder; {lesson_time} and {lesson_length} fill in for you. "Email me a test of all 3" sends you samples.
During the free trial, up to 25 lesson reminders go out a day. Families who unsubscribe from announcements still get lesson reminders and invoices. Text message reminders are coming soon.
