Emailing announcements to families
Go to Messages. Under "Who gets it?", choose All families, By teacher, By lesson day or Pick students. Write a Subject and Message, or start from "Studio closed", "Recital", "Holiday break" or "New rates". "Click to insert" adds {parent_name}, {student_name}, {studio_name} or {teacher_name}, which fill in for each family.
The preview shows the email for each family. Click "Email me a test" to see it in your inbox, then "Send to N families". Brothers and sisters share one email. You can't unsend, so fill in anything in [square brackets] first.
Replies come straight to your email. Families without a parent email are skipped, and so are families who unsubscribed from announcements (they still get reminders and invoices). Past messages are under "Sent announcements".
Limits: up to 2,000 families per announcement and 10 announcements a day. During the free trial, 25 families and 2 announcements a day.
An announcement only sends an email: a "Studio closed" message doesn't cancel lessons, so cancel those on the Lessons page. Announcements are email only, not texts.
