The quarterly tax set-aside card
A card that shows what you've collected in each US estimated-tax period, how much to put aside for tax at a percent you choose, and when the next payment is due. It's off until you turn it on.
Go to Reports. Under "Quarterly tax set-aside", type a percent in "Set aside" (25% to start with; 1 to 60) and click "Turn on". It then shows on Reports and on your Lessons page (owners and admins only).
It shows "Collected" for the period so far (the same money in as Reports: every payment on the day it came in, before expenses), "Set aside" (your percent of it, rounded to the cent) and when that period's payment is due, with "Next US estimated payment due" at the top. The IRS periods aren't equal quarters: Jan 1 to Mar 31 (due Apr 15), Apr 1 to May 31 (due Jun 15), Jun 1 to Aug 31 (due Sep 15) and Sep 1 to Dec 31 (due Jan 15). A due date on a weekend or a legal holiday (such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day) moves to the next business day. Early in a period, "Coming up first" shows the payment for the period before, while it isn't due yet.
"Change percent" lets you "Save percent" or "Turn off" (it keeps your percent for next time).
It's information, not tax advice: what you owe depends on your expenses, deductions and where you live, and the dates are the US ones. Check with a tax professional. For a full year's numbers, use the Tax summary (see "Reports, expenses, mileage and the tax summary").
